Fairfax story on social media

Leading Australian news giant Fairfax's has covered Tom Williamson in the Sydney Morning Herald with his efforts at Adelaide's Highway Hotel for recruiting thousands of Facebook and Twitter fans. Tom was interviewed with his thoughts on social media and it's effectiveness within the hotel industry.

HWY Apprentice winner announced!

After weeks of workshops, preparation, organisation and staging of events, the inaugural HWY Apprentice has been crowned.  Adelaide's own, Kelly Noble, hosted the event where guests were entertained by the Transatlantis & DJ Ben James.  Team Chiggy were awarded a trip for 2 to LA, $5000 and a 12 month contract with the Highway to stage a subsequent 4 events.  "We really didn't think we'd win, we're still in disbelief but thank the Highway for the opportunity to host the event we've been planning for quite some time.".  Their event, My Voice Rocks attracted over 300 guests to the HWY where 16 hopeful amateur singers battled it out on stage for a $1000 cash prize.
Organisers of The HWY Apprentice Sponsored by Glam Adelaide were impressed with Chloe & her team's high level of organisation, use of social media and implementation of knowledge gained throughout 4 workshops leading up to their events.

What a fantastic night for the Highway Hotel at last night's AHA Awards for Excellence!

After being awarded winners of the Best Bar Presentation & Service, Best Outdoor or non-enclosed facility and Best Marketed Hotel - General Division, the icing on the cake came when the Highway was announced Best Overall Hotel in South Australia!

Martin Palmer paid tribute to his staff when accepting the award and made special mention of Group General Manager Tony Symonds and General Manager of the Highway, Simon Adami who 'he couldn't do without!'
